Welcome. These terms are the “ledger page” for using LocoWise. They are written to be read by humans, not only by lawyers. If a sentence sounds odd, the spirit is simple: use the app to spin stories, not to hurt people or break the law; respect that some tasks are done by third-party services named below.
Who you are dealing with
The app is offered by Sealand Life (developer: Ulrich Baum). The product name in the store and on this site is LocoWise – AI Story. The word “we” in this ledger refers to the publisher of the app in that role.
What the app does (and what it is not)
LocoWise is software that helps you compose fictional stories and fairy tales from the words and options you type in. It is not a messaging app between users — there is no design where one user’s personal feed is siphoned to another user for chat purposes. The traffic that matters is between your device, our configuration, and the services that make generation, metrics, and notifications possible.
Your prompts and the AI engine
When you ask the storyteller to work, you may send text you typed to infrastructure that can return a text response. A primary such vendor is OpenAI (or a functionally similar host we employ). That is a third-party service: it processes your input under its own terms and security posture to produce the tale you asked for. You agree not to use the feature to create unlawful, harassing, or explicitly harmful material, and to remember that outputs are machine-generated fiction, not medical, legal, or child-safety advice.
What Singular and OneSignal do here
Singular may receive event and device signals for attribution and product analytics — a third-party lens on whether a journey into the app can be tied to a campaign, without turning every bedtime plot into a spreadsheet row about your family. OneSignal supports push notifications, another third party; it needs tokens and related metadata so a notice can show up at all. In both cases, we stay within the “no personal dossier for its own sake” philosophy described in the Privacy page; at the edges you may see at most a stable pseudonymous id for routing and measurement.
Accounts, age, and the adult holding the phone
Unless the store or a feature explicitly offers an account, you use LocoWise in the way Apple’s ecosystem allows. Content meant for children should be generated under the supervision of a parent or guardian who controls the device. The terms of the store you downloaded from (for example, Apple) also apply alongside this page.
Acceptable use — keep it in the storybook
- No trying to break, clone, or overload the app or our partners.
- No feeding prompts whose purpose is to extract secrets, credentials, or private data of third parties.
- No pretending that machine text is a human professional when that could mislead someone in real life.
Intellectual sparks
You own your personal creativity; the exact phrasing the model invents in the moment is produced under license arrangements that sit upstream of this small studio. You receive a practical license to use the output for personal, non-harmful purposes inside the app’s intent. If you need to republish or commercialize generated text in a big way, check the then-current product notes — the world of AI licensing moves faster than a chapter book.
Disclaimer — stories are not safety rails
Stories may feel wise; the software is not. The app and its output come as is to the extent permitted by law, without a promise of uninterrupted magic or a particular reading level. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the app, within the limits allowed in your region.
Changes to this page
The “last revised” line is your bookmark. We may retune these sentences when a feature, partner, or regulation asks nicely. Continued use after a material update means the new tune applies, unless the store requires a different dance.
